Dr. Barry K. Herman serves as Chief Medical Officer at Mentavi Health, overseeing all clinical service offerings and advancing evidence-based mental health care nationwide. He is committed to creating a performance and measurement culture grounded in clinical practice, and to Mentavi Health’s mission of improving access and affordability for everyone seeking mental health diagnosis and treatment. 

A dual board-certified psychiatrist with more than 30 years of leadership experience across managed care, pharmaceuticals, and digital health, Dr. Herman is a thought leader in the field and a recipient of two of the American Psychiatric Association’s top leadership awards. He is the author of over 100 scientific publications and abstracts. 

Dr. Herman earned his M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine, completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University, obtained a Master of Medical Management (MMM) from Tulane University, and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Clark University.
